Welcome to Friendly Figures Bookkeeping (“we”, “our” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and our bookkeeping services. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
We provide remote bookkeeping, payroll, tax and administrative support services to small businesses and individuals. The specific services you receive will be set out in the service agreement or engagement letter provided during onboarding, which takes precedence over these general terms where the two differ.
3. Client responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete financial information in a timely manner
- Cooperate as needed to enable effective service delivery
- Review and approve work before any official submission, including tax submissions
- Retain the underlying source documents required by law
Responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of information supplied to us, and for the final approval of any submission, remains with the client.
4. Confidentiality
We are committed to keeping your financial and business information confidential. All records, data and documents shared with us are protected and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or where necessary to make a submission you have authorised.
5. Fees & payment
Fees are communicated and agreed in writing before work begins. Prices shown on this website are indicative starting points, exclude VAT, and are confirmed in your written quote. Monthly packages are billed monthly in advance. Payment is due on receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to make timely payment may result in suspension of services.
Statutory fees charged by third parties, such as CIPC lodgement fees, are passed on to you at cost.
6. Cancellation & termination
You may cancel our services with 14 days’ written notice. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services in the event of non-payment, breach of these terms, or misuse of our services. On termination we will provide you with your records in a reasonable, usable format.
7. Liability disclaimer
We aim to provide accurate and timely services, but we are not liable for any losses or damages arising from:
- Inaccuracies or omissions in information provided by the client
- Delays caused by third parties, including SARS, CIPC and banks
- Use or misuse of our website or services
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
