About
A friendly face behind the figures
Friendly Figures exists because too many good businesses are held back by paperwork nobody enjoys — and because bookkeeping does not have to feel cold, complicated or intimidating.
Where it started
Friendly Figures is a modern bookkeeping service designed to take the stress out of managing your business finances. Agnètha Olivier built it on a background in accounting and 16 years of real-world experience, with a mission that is genuinely simple: to make your numbers work for you.
We understand how overwhelming finances can feel when you are focused on running and growing a business. That is why we offer reliable, easy-to-understand bookkeeping that keeps you organised, confident and in control — rather than a stack of reports you never open.
Whether you are just starting out or scaling quickly, you get the clarity, structure and expertise you need to thrive. And you get a person on the other end of the phone who knows your business by name.
How we work
Four things we don’t compromise on
Accuracy before speed
A fast set of books that is wrong helps nobody. Everything is reconciled and reviewed before it goes anywhere near SARS.
You should understand your own numbers
Reports are written to be read by a business owner, not by another accountant. If something is not clear, ask — that is part of the service.
Small enough to actually care
You deal with the same person every month. No call centre, no ticket number, no being handed to a junior in month three.
Honest about scope
If you do not need a service, we will say so. If something falls outside what we do well, we will tell you who to speak to instead.
Tools & standards
Modern software, properly used
Good bookkeeping today is as much about the systems as the ledgers. We work in the platforms your business already uses — or set you up properly on one that fits — so your records are cloud-based, backed up, and available to you at any time.
- Xero
- Sage
- QuickBooks
- SimplePay
- SARS eFiling

Knowing where the line is
Some work has to be signed off by a registered professional — audits, independent reviews, and certain tax matters among them. Agnètha Olivier works alongside qualified associates for exactly those cases, and will tell you plainly when your situation calls for one.
We would rather point you to the right person than take on work that should sit with someone else. It is a short conversation, and it saves a great deal of money later.
